Preston Corp Environmental Policy 

Preston Corp Limited (Preston Corp) is the parent company to KAM transport, Ken Wilson Meats, Preston Foods and Preston Master Butchers, these businesses include meat processing facilities, wholesale and retail meat supply and transport services over multiple sites based in Auckland, Wellington, Hastings, Picton and Blenheim, as well as a large fleet of trucks and over 130 staff.

Preston Corp is committed to managing its environmental impact and working to continually reduce the negative impacts of its activities and finding ways to have an ongoing positive impact on our environment. At Preston Corp we understand that our business does have environmental impacts and we are committed to eliminating or reducing these impacts through our decisions and activities. We are committed to carrying out our business in accordance and compliance with all applicable New Zealand laws and regulations, and in accordance with our company’s ethical and societal responsibilities.

We will continuously improve our management and environmental performance across our business activities including but not limited to waste minimisation and reduction in carbon emissions.

We will educate, train and motivate our employees to foster a keen sense of environmental responsibility and accountability. We will engage with our suppliers to address environmental impacts through our supply chain and to support suppliers who have an active environmental programme or certification in place.

This policy will guide our long term Environmental Management Programme which will be underpinned by a detailed annual action plan and regular monitoring of progress towards our objectives. We will communicate this policy with interested parties and communicate our environmental performance to our staff by regularly sharing our progress.
